The Wonderful Sport of Paint Ball

Paintball is one of the most admired and loved games in the world today. Its popularity is increasing exponentially with more and more people getting attracted towards it. Like all other sports it involves excitement, adventure, team spirit and many more qualities that define human spirit. People of different age groups and from varying professions play paintball for fun as well as for a learning experience.

In paintball games opposing team members eliminate each other by hitting them with pellets that contain a substance resembling paint. Usually the shot is fired from a paintball gun that is powered by carbon dioxide or any other compressed gas. Paintball games can be played outdoors as well as indoors and is played in many different forms. Some of the most popular paint balling variations is X-ball, speed ball, and woods ball. The rules of the paintball vary and are designed to ensure the safety of the players. In a Paintball game generally two opposing teams are involved who try to eliminate the players of the opposing team by hitting them with the pellet. The game can also be won by attaining some other objective like eliminating a specific player or retrieving a flag or some other accomplishment.

The paintball gear varies according to the style of paint balling and also on the skill level of the players. However some of the equipment that is mandatory is a mask, paintballs, and a complete paintball marker. Paintball games can be played on commercial locations as well as on private lands. One big difference between the two is that in commercial fields the safety levels are higher and well monitored in comparison to the private fields.
